The host and director of Vox, journalist Marcelo Paolinelli worked for many years back in Brazil as a newspaper reporter for the Grupo Estado de Minas - Diarios Associados. In Toronto since 2003, he resumed his career in journalism as the editor in chief of the Brazilian community newspaper, Brasil News. Marcelo then attended the program Journalism for Internationally Trained Writers at Sheridan College, and chose to diversify his career by embracing different medias such as radio and television. Marcelo is currently a correspondent in Toronto for Canada Direto, a Brazilian show at CBC/Radio Canada International. He joined PanTV at the end of 2008, as one of the presenters of Gravando!, before starting producing his own show, Vox. In addition, Marcelo Paolinelli works as a research assistant at the Center for Studies in Food Security at Ryerson University, where he is the coordinator of the Betinho Project.
